Let Me Learn at My Level of Readiness: Personalized Early Childhood Instruction

Friday February 9, 2018
3:00 - 4:00 PM
Room 103

Vulnerable children come to school without many of the foundation skills for school readiness. Sadly, in many schools the curriculum is delivered at a pace that leaves many children behind. In this session we will consider a model that identifies crucial early learning skills, identifies the readiness skills of each student, and then delivers essential instruction at the child's level for as long as needed for each student to develop competency. Quality early learning cannot be a race through content objectives. We can bring more joy back into our classrooms and help far more children succeed by personalizing instruction for essential learning outcomes during the early PK to Grade 3 years.
