Donna Wilson

Adjunct Faculty and Co-Developer of Graduate Study
Fischler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University

I am lead developer of the first graduate degree program in the United States with a major in Brain-Based Teaching and a concentration in Teacher Leadership as well as an Ed.D. minor in Brain-Based Leadership. My work coauthoring Mind, Brain, and Teacher Leadership: Leveraging the POWER of Purposeful Collaboration (Teachers College Press, in press) is based on extensive research and collaboration and consultation with graduates of these programs, including classroom teachers and administrators, on effective approaches for teacher leadership. I have applied my prior experiences as a classroom teacher and school psychologist and current work in teacher education to developing an effective approach to teacher leadership presented in the graduate studies and this new book. In addition, I have presented at U.S. policy conferences to help bridge the gap between research and practice in education.
