Dr. Michele Hayes is the Director of the Kansas Learning Network and is dedicated to supporting schools in implementing Effective Practices resulting in successful outcomes for all learners. She works collaboratively with the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) to identify and support Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) schools and districts throughout the state. Dr. Hayes is responsible for providing direct technical assistance to the largest urban Title I districts in Kansas focused on building the professional and organizational capacity of the school and district team members to sustain implementation. These supports come through facilitation, coaching, presenting, and consulting all with the purpose of building the professional and organizational capacity of the school districts served. Michele is focused on bridging the “what” of requirements to the “why” and “how” of implementation.

The Kansas Learning Network is responsible for providing direct technical assistance to the largest urban Title I schools and districts in Kansas. Mary Myers works is an Implementation Coach for the Kansas Learning Network supporting professionals at the District and Building Leadership Team levels across the state in brick and mortar and virtual schools. Much of the work includes facilitating and coaching data-driven conversations digging into the root causes that may be sustaining within the system. Myers is committed to using scientific inquiry to support systems in providing a rigorous, equitable education for all learners through the lens of the coaching model. Providing concise and effective communication and simplification of things that "seem hard" is where she prefers to spend her time!
