Saturday February 4, 2023
10:15 - 11:15 AM
Room 103-106

The incoming generation of early childhood and elementary school students have been impacted by the pandemic in ways that extend far beyond learning loss. These pandemic learners have experienced different developmental milestones and have different learning characteristics, needs, and strengths. To move beyond learning loss, educators and leaders must understand and plan for the needs and strengths of this generation of learners. Participants will examine the unique characteristics of pandemic learners, explore the research-based instructional strategies necessary to meet their needs, and create a prioritized list of next steps to prepare pandemic learners in post pandemic schools.
