In 2015, my school was a Focus Plus School. We were about to be taken over by the state because of our state test scores and climate surveys. In 2020, my school was named a National Blue Ribbon School and a National ESEA  Distinguished School. Our journey to turn-around will be shared.

As a veteran principal finishing my 24th year, I wouldn't say I have expertise in any area but have had the opportunity to turn around two schools in Maryland and Delaware and open a brand new school. This session focuses on school turn around and a toxic climate turned into a great place to be.
