Schools have conducted comprehensive needs assessments (CNAs) for years. So, why should we bother with another CNA session? 2020 presented a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for schools to deeply analyze every structure, process and program. What were the non-negotiables during remote learning? What couldn't continue or was no longer needed? Now that schools have reopened, what priorities rise to the top and what relics need to fade away? ESSA requires LEAs to respond to a range of needs assessment requirements which can differ by federal program. Come hear fresh ideas about leveraging ESSA to dig deeply into students' needs and root causes. Let's use what we learned from the COVID disruption to reshape our schools and create the best opportunities possible for students to soar to success. Leave with tools that can be used in any LEA.
