How is it possible to reach and teach hundreds of thousands of teachers, administrators, and professors worldwide to share the importance of using Science of Reading (SoR) evidenced based practices? The social media Facebook (FB) group, Science of Reading-What I Should Have Learned in College is a professional learning community (PLC) bringing people together to collaborate and build community around the Science of Reading research. This session will provide you with resources to understand how cognitive and neuroscience research impacts instructional and administrative practices with evidenced based structures and systems. After this session, you will have an understanding of how to begin SoR evidenced based instructional practices in your classroom, school, district or college. Now is the time to innovate, develop a plan, and commit to prevent reading failure; creating equity and improved reading outcomes providing a better future for our students.
