What can we learn about best practices in equity, sustainability, and continuous improvement from districts halfway through the first full school year using ESSER III funds? Join Education Resource Strategies (ERS) to see what they’ve learned from districts who are leveraging ESSER funds to renew efforts in equity, innovation, and resource use to set themselves up for sustainability when federal funding runs out. This interactive Workshop is designed for those leading and supporting ESSER implementation plans or anyone seeking to recommit to equity, innovation, and financial sustainability in their district’s approach. Together, we will reimagine best practices of system redesign to meet the needs of the moment and set up our educators and students for enduring success. Join us and hear lessons from districts that are capturing innovations from COVID and an influx of federal funds with a “do now, build toward” mindset to make steps toward transformation.

David Rosenberg

David Rosenberg is a partner at Education Resource Strategies, a national nonprofit that helps district, school and state leaders transform how they use resources to ensure excellence with equity for all students. David provides strategic counsel to state and local education leaders, including most recently in Washington, DC; Shelby County (Memphis), and Nashville TN; Mesa, AZ; Dallas, TX; Indianapolis, IN; and the States of Louisiana and Massachusetts. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, David led the development of ERS’ COVID Comeback Models as well as guidance for national, state and local leaders on the critical resource decisions required to address emerging student needs.
