Abrupt shifts between remote, hybrid and in-person learning forced schools to reimagine how to deliver instructional resources to students, and digital books helped to meet this critical need. However, a return to in-person instruction doesn’t necessitate a return to the status quo. Digital books aren’t just a useful tool for the remote classroom. They’re also a critical tool in the fight to increase reading equity. This session is a must-attend for anyone looking to build a digital library from the ground up or exploring new ways to leverage their existing ebook and audiobook catalog. Attendees will learn:

• The benefits of reading access, and how digital books help fill gaps left by print books.

• How digital books can help schools achieve a 1:1 book-to-student ratio.

• How ebooks and audiobooks help mitigate learning loss, particularly for disadvantaged students who might not have print books at home.

• How digital books facilitate a diverse, inclusive school library.
