Equitable services to private schools can be a difficult area to manage. There are many regulations which must be followed when providing Title I services outside of a public school. The creation of the ombudsman role with the reauthorization of ESSA, provides direct support to districts providing equitable services to private schools. This presentation will allow an opportunity for participants to hear from four state ombudsmen (Georgia, Nevada, Ohio and Texas) and provide a panel discussion to answer questions related to equitable services. Each ombudsman will share insight to their job duties and responsibilities, as well as discussion on frequent equitable services topics.
