Leveraging Federal Funds to Meet Student Needs

U.S. Department of Education staff will discuss strategies for using Federal funds together with State and local needs to support the educational needs of children. This session will (i) explore how schools identify and provide services aligned to specific student needs and (ii) apply scenarios that LEAs face when trying to address the needs of children within their schools, while also complying with the allowable uses of funds of different Federal programs. Federal programs such as Title I, Part A; Title I, Part C; Title II; Title III, Part A; and Title V, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) will be represented during this session.
