W. Howard Brown, Ph.D. has been the Director of Grants for the Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute for the past 12 years. Prior to this position, Dr. Brown was on the faculty of St. Lawrence University, both in Canton, NY, where he taught African history and Swahili and in Kenya, where he served 10 years as an associate director of the Kenya Semester Program. He has also been a high school principal in Miami, Florida. He recently was appointed as coordinator of Clemson University’s Non-Profit Leadership certificate program. As Director of Grants, Dr. Brown is responsible for the development of grants from ideas and writing to implementation of grant-supported projects. He conducts grant writing training, mentoring training and group facilitation for Institute staff and partnering organizations that include the SC Department of Education, Department of Juvenile Justice and SC 4-H. He is involved in the development of academic programs for students and teachers and delivers capacity building trainings to community and faith-based organizations.

Michele English-Watson has been the Director of Federal Programs for Charleston County School District, Charleston, SC for the past fifteen years. She is an accomplished, veteran educator.Her experience includes 15 years as Director of Federal Programs for Charleston County School District, Charleston, SC and 6 years teaching experience.

Ms. Susan Greene is a veteran educator of 30 years. She has a passion for improving the learning experience of every K-12 student. Susan received a Master’s Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been a school based administrator, Curriculum Specialist and Educational Consultant prior to joining PCG Education. As a classroom teacher, with more than 15 years of experience, Susan learned the value of creating high quality, engaging lessons designed to prepare her students for success at the next level. Susan holds a BA in Elementary Education from Simmons College and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Boston College. She is committed to successfully preparing students academically and technologically for the global 21st century.

Lisa Craig’s love for summer camp and learning began as teen working with youth summer programs. Currently, Lisa is Director of Marketing & Communication for PCG Educational Partnerships, where she has been responsible for the creation of structural components of Summer Camp Programs, including the development of student materials and incentives, attendance modules, and much more. Lisa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from James Madison University in 1999. She has a plethora of experience in communication, marketing, community relations, and program development.
