Standards in Practice: How Principal Supervisors Create an Ecosystem of Learning
Participants in this session will have an opportunity to learn how the second largest school district in the State of Illinois, School District U-46, is working to design an ecosystem of professional learning for the 42 elementary principals and 20+ elementary assistant principals in the district. The learning ecosystem provides for individual, cohort and whole group leadership development opportunities conducted in differentiated modes of coaching. We will identify how the systems being built link to the Model Principal Supervisor Professional Standards (CCSSO 2015)--as well as share candidly about where our own practice and systems still need to be strengthened. Participants will have an opportunity to use the district example presented to reflect on principal learning in their own contexts. The session will be structured with a Live Q&A following the presentation.
