Invite Your SRO to the Table

A partnership that was formed when a situation involving a homeless student, a school resource officer, and a school went awry; in this session participants will hear from a McKinney Vento representative, a former School Resource Officer and the Kansas McKinney Vento Coordinator as to why it is important to include everyone in the safety of our students. Especially in 2021, the phrase, "You don't know what you don't know" cannot be in the discussion when talking about student safety. Become empowered and armed with ideas to break down the barriers that we as adults have unintentionally put up when it comes to keeping our students safe!

This talk was presented at:
2022 National ESEA Conference
February 2022 in New Orleans, LA
