Bringing the Joy Factor to Digital Learning

Are you looking to reinvigorate digital learning in your school? Do you have classroom sets of devices from remote learning that you'd like to put to use for in person learning? This interactive session will take participants through a series of learning activities that can be implemented immediately, and will increase engagement, social emotional learning, creativity, and joy in the classroom. We will cover a variety of apps, focusing on multiple uses for each app so that you leave comfortable with each tool. All apps we use are free for educators and students, and can be brought back to school with ease. Engaged learners are academically successful learners, and technology is a powerful tool to engage all students.

Rachel Swanson

Rachel was a founding mentor with the Dynamic Learning Project, leading instructional technology coaches across the country in bringing high-impact technology use to their Title 1 schools. Rachel has over a decade of combined experience in presenting technology training in school districts around the country, specializing in using technology to impact creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking in schools. Rachel is a Google for Education Certified Educator, Trainer, Innovator, and Coach. She helped write the Google for Education Certified Coach Curriculum. She is also a co-founder of TechKnow Coach and started the TechKnow Coach Facebook group to provide community and support for educators around the world.
