Recipe for Building a Successful School from Ground Zero: Making a Masterpiece

This presentation is designed to provide participants with valuable insight into a school's turnaround journey. Members of the school staff will describe the early barriers that they encountered and offer key levers that assisted in the academic, behavioral, and social/emotional development of their students. Our presentation will also provide participants with perspective into the systematic approach school stakeholders undertook to transform the school culture and making steady gains in student achievement. This presentation will provide school leaders with ideas of key factors to consider and proactively plan for if they are considering the Turnaround Model of school improvement. Areas that will be addressed include how the school's shared leadership has led change through its intentional organization and use of various types of DATA aligned to student learning.
