Come explore the blended funding early learning program model in Missouri. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has developed a planning tool and budget that will allow LEAs to blend funds from multiple funding sources in an effort to provide the best possible learning environment for all early learners. Learn what it means to have a blended funding early learning program and how an LEA may blend Title I funds with other funding sources to create one early learning classroom/program. Discover the programmatic and fiscal requirements of an early learning program blending funds and the potential benefits of blending funds. Explore the planning tool and budget and learn how LEA’s will request payment.

Lana Brooks

Lana is the Director of Early Learning and understands the program and fiscal requirements of Missouri's state funded preschool program. She has a bachelors degree in Home Economics, in addition to her 22 years in MoDESE's Early Learning Section, Lana was a preschool teacher for 4 years in a Missouri Accredited child care facility.
Julia Cowell

Julia is the Director of Federal Programs and understands the program and fiscal requirements of Title I. Julie has an Early Childhood Certificate and has experience teaching early grades as well as a preschool. Her experience as a Preschool Director gives her an understanding of running an Early Learning Program and providing the best learning environment for preschool aged children.
Angie Nickell

Angie is the Director of Special Education Finance and understands the program and fiscal requirements of ECSE.
