"When will we ever use this?" Even students who haven't fallen behind wonder how math is connected to careers, and for those who don't believe they will ever be able to understand math, changing their mindset is critical for them to believe they can succeed in their math class and a career. This session will look at how MATH 180 incorporates connections to careers and moving students from a fixed to a growth mindset, building on the research from Carol Dweck.
