Kerry Haag is an Assistant Director on the Early Childhood, Special Education, and Title Services Team (ECSETS) at the Kansas Department of Education (KSDE).  In 1989, Kerry began as an Education Program Consultant on the Special Education Services Team. Since 1995, she has been an Assistant Director for the Learning Services Division. In addition to staff supervision, her program administration duties include the ESEA/IDEA Kansas Statewide Technical Assistance System Network (TASN) contracts; IDEA State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) Project Director; IDEA SPP/APR submission including Indicator 17: State Systemic Improvement Plan coordination. Her most recent leadership activity is as a leader of KSDE’s Initiative for social-emotional learning in pursuit of the Kansas State Board of Education Vision: Kansas leads the world in the success of each student. Additionally, Ms. Haag has presented at local, state, and national platforms, and co-authored grants, papers and book chapters that have been widely used in the field.
