Kellie Hinkle is the Vice President of District Engagement at City Year, Inc where she leads the organization's school district partnership strategy for 28 cities and 40 districts. Kellie joined City Year in 2004 as an AmeriCorps member in Philadelphia. For 7.5 years she held a variety of roles at City Year Philadelphia, including serving as the first ever full-time local evaluation staff member for the organization. In 2012, Kellie joined City Year headquarters as the Diplomas Now Manager to add capacity to school recruitment efforts for the Diplomas Now Investing in Innovation randomized control trial, and since then has partnered with the national leadership team to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of Diplomas Now. In 2014, she joined the District Engagement team, supporting a portfolio of sites in the district strategy planning and stakeholder engagement. In addition to leading City Year’s District Engagement team, Kellie also serves as the Interim Diplomas Now Director for the three Diplomas Now partner organizations – City Year, Communities In Schools and Talent Development Secondary. Before joining City Year, Kellie majored in Religion at James Madison University in Virginia.
