Formative Assessment with Seesaw: Teachers, Students, and Families as Partners!

Are you looking for relatively easy, engaging and effective ways (not to mention free!) to formatively assess your students? Would you like your students and families to be an integral part of the process? If you’ve answered yes to either or both of these questions, come see how Eric empowered his teachers at Kinnaman Elementary School to do just that! Teachers at Kinnaman have leveraged the Seesaw digital learning journal (app or web-based) to engage students in the process of formative assessment. In this session, you’ll experience first-hand the power of Seesaw and get some great ideas to either begin implementation or take your existing implementation to the next level. Eric will share many integrative examples of student journals, and demonstrate how Kinnaman engaged their families in the process. Bring your tablet, laptop, and/or smartphone!

Already grounded in solid instructional pedagogy, Eric discovered Seesaw in 2015 and successfully implemented it K-5 to support learning with a focus on formative assessment and family involvement. In his professional development contract work, Eric also helps teachers across the globe do the same.
