English Learners: Every Student Succeeding?

The session will view the chronic low performance and low graduation rates for the English Learner subgroup and present research-based data on how to strategically place and plan instruction for English Learners. This presentation will provide useful ways to address the often unaddressed needs of English Learners. This relevant information will ensure that leaders are equipped with the necessary knowledge to provide English Learners with adequate opportunities and the "Liberty to Learn".

Dr. Watson has 15 years in the teaching profession with ten years of experience licensed as an ESL teacher and working in the district Title I department. More recent experience includes working directly in the English Learner Services Department as a Title I Instructional Coach and publishing a dissertation on student achievement for English Learners.
