We are a Professional Learning Community at Montview. We continue to read about, learn, and experiment with best practices together. Our teachers are masters in the classroom. They work with students to close gaps and help everyone succeed.

Explain how Title I funds have supported your improvement efforts.
We use most of our Title 1 funds to hire teachers and keep class size around 22-25 students, have full day kindergarten, and for professional development.

We have had a lot of success meeting in grade level teams and planning model lessons together that guide student thinking into deep levels in math, reading, science and writing.

We do collect and analyze data to know where students are performing. We provide interventions for students who need to catch up and extensions for students to achieve advanced levels.

Montview is culture of equity and high expecations with high support for students to help everyone succeed.
